Poems: Love Poems

You Said

You said I didn’t love you anymore.
Could the sea stop coming to the shore?
How can you say that Eleanor?
I love you with all my power:
if I could love you more,
I would lose my substance, and be a star.
Don’t worry about the mad mood of an hour.
Storms darken the sea and the waves roar.
Is the sea then any the less knitted to the shore?
